What it costs to get a suspended Google Business Profile back, how long it usually takes, what you will need to send, and what to avoid while you wait.
Clickspire charges a $500 flat fee per profile to handle a Google Business Profile reinstatement or verification. Most cases take a few days to a few weeks. The biggest factor is how quickly you can send us the information Google asks for. Google's own review time varies, and no one can guarantee reinstatement, because Google makes the final decision.
Cost and timeline at a glance
- Price: $500 flat fee per profile, for reinstatement or verification.
- Typical timeline: a few days to a few weeks.
- Biggest factor you control: how quickly you send the information Google asks for.
- Google's review time: it varies, and nobody outside Google controls it.
- Guarantee: none. Google decides whether a profile comes back.
- Urgent help: book a same-day call at clickspire.com/book/gbp-urgent or call 1-866-275-6645.
Why we charge a flat fee
A suspended profile is stressful enough without wondering what the bill will be. Other agencies publish prices for reinstatement too, and it is worth comparing. We charge one flat fee per profile so you know the cost before any work starts, whether your case turns out to be simple or needs more back and forth with Google.
The same applies to verification. If your profile is stuck unverified, or Google keeps rejecting your verification attempts, our verification service works the same way. You can read more at clickspire.com/services/gbp-verification.
What we need from you
Google wants proof that your business is real, operates where it says it does, and is run by the person asking. Having these ready on day one is the single biggest thing you can do to shorten the timeline:
- Owner or manager access to the profile.
- Any suspension notice you received from Google.
- Your business registration or licence.
- Proof of address, such as a utility bill or lease in the business name.
- Photos of your storefront, signage, branded vehicle or equipment.
Make sure the business name and address on your documents match what is on the profile. When the paperwork says one thing and the profile says another, Google has a reason to say no.
Why profiles get suspended
Google does not always explain a suspension in detail, but most cases come back to one of a handful of causes:
- Keywords stuffed into the business name. "Smith Plumbing" is fine. "Smith Plumbing Best Emergency Plumber Ottawa" is not, unless that is genuinely your registered name.
- A virtual office or PO box used as the address. Google wants a real place where the business operates or where staff are based.
- Duplicate listings. Two profiles for the same business at the same location look like an attempt to take up more space in the results.
- Fake or incentivized reviews. Paying for reviews, or offering discounts in exchange for them, breaks Google's rules.
- An ineligible business type. Some kinds of businesses are not allowed a profile at all, or only in certain forms.
- Competitor reports. Anyone can suggest an edit or report a listing, and a report can trigger a review even when nothing is wrong.
Fixing the cause matters as much as filing the appeal. If the name is still stuffed with keywords or the address is still a mailbox, the appeal has little chance.
What drives the timeline
- How fast you send documents and photos. This is the part you control, and it is usually the biggest factor.
- Whether the cause needs fixing first. A business name or address problem has to be corrected before Google will look kindly on an appeal.
- Whether Google asks for more. Sometimes Google comes back with a request for extra evidence, such as a video showing your location and signage, which adds a round.
- Duplicate listings. If there are other profiles for the same business, they need to be sorted out as part of the case.
- Google's own review queue. Once an appeal is in, the wait is up to Google, and it varies.
What not to do while your profile is suspended
- Do not create a new profile. Google treats it as a duplicate, and it makes the situation worse.
- Do not panic about your reviews. They normally come back when the profile is reinstated.
- Do not send documents that do not match the profile. Fix the mismatch first, then appeal.
- Do not keep making changes while an appeal is under review. Each edit can give Google something new to check.
What to check before hiring anyone
- Do they promise reinstatement? Nobody can, because Google decides. A guarantee is a warning sign, not a selling point.
- Is the price clear up front? Ask whether the fee covers the whole case or only the first appeal.
- Do they explain why you were suspended before filing anything? An appeal that does not address the cause tends to fail.
- How will they access your profile? You should add them as a manager through Google. Never hand over your Google password.
- Can you reach a real person quickly? When your profile is down, calls stop coming in, so a slow reply costs you.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Google Business Profile reinstatement cost?
At Clickspire it is a $500 flat fee per profile. The same flat fee applies to verification.
How long does reinstatement take?
Most cases take a few days to a few weeks. The biggest factor is how quickly you can send us the information Google asks for. After that, Google's own review time varies.
Can you guarantee my profile will come back?
No. Google makes the final decision, so no one can guarantee reinstatement. What we can do is make sure the cause is fixed and the appeal gives Google what it needs.
Will I lose my reviews?
Reviews normally come back when a profile is reinstated. Creating a new profile to start over is the surest way to lose them, along with making the suspension harder to fix.
My profile went down today. What should I do?
Do not make a new profile, and start gathering the documents listed above. Then book a same-day call at clickspire.com/book/gbp-urgent or call 1-866-275-6645.
